Our Story

  • ICRH Mission: Providing temporary shelter and empowering a pathway to self-sufficiency for people experiencing homelessness in our community.

  • At ICRH, we provide shelter and assist guests in establishing a pathway to self-sufficiency. We work to understand what brought each guest to the point of homelessness and connect them with local resources to address their needs.

  • Since the inaugural season in 2012-2013, our services have grown from serving 9 guests per night to 30 guests each day. We started by providing a nightly rotational shelter during the coldest months of the year and progressed to offering overnight shelter year-round. In 2025, we officially opened a permanent shelter, the Morey House, with gratitude to the Marilyn and Jerry Morey Family Foundation, and are now in the third phase of a capital campaign, Rooted in Purpose, Building our Future. Our goal is to develop a funding stream that will allow ICRH to be open 24/7 year-round.
