Who We Are

Who We Are

Who We Are and What We Do:

  • A seasonal, rotational, emergency shelter providing a safe, warm place to stay for the homeless in Isabella County during the winter months.
  • Started operations in 2013 with rotational overnight shelter at local host churches.
  • Added a Day Shelter three years ago to provide a safe, warm space during the day.
  • The average number of guests per night when we started was 9. In 2019, we averaged 30 guests per night. During COVID, we average 22 guests per night due to social distancing guidelines.
  • During COVID, we only had 2 guests with symptoms (from two seasons of operation)
  • We have grown to operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during our rotational season.
  • The Day Shelter is now open for homeless individuals and families to shower, do laundry, and get a meal two days a week during the summer.
