Volunteering at ICRH

Volunteering with the ICRH is mutually beneficial for both guests and volunteers. Many volunteers who have had the opportunity to participate recall their experience as overwhelmingly positive. Thousands of Isabella County citizens have volunteered with the ICRH with a resulting positive impact on the community.

Volunteers must agree to a background search with the “Volunteer Sign-up” form to on the right of this page. Specific opportunities to volunteer and training material are listed lower on the page.

What Our Volunteers
Have to Say

"It's been a wonderful experience! Volunteering allows myself and others to give back to the community. It introduces you to many wonderful people. I have loved getting to know each person through my time there!"
Gabrielle Kapuscinsk
"When I was a young child my mother and I found ourselves homeless due to domestic abuse. We stayed at a homeless shelter for awhile and we were so thankful to have a safe place to stay. I am glad to be able to give back and help others. It's very important to be involved."
Theressa Clark
“I volunteer because it makes me feel good giving back. I feel everyone has an hour or two a week to give back to the community. It makes me feel great when the guests are happy to see me!”
Brenda Faber Gruss
